Haunting, evocative beauty surrounds the voice and music of LA-based singer-songwriter Jillian Ann. A self-professed geek and teenage runaway, Jillian was classically trained on piano by age 13 and soon started making music on machines. When her DJ stint in New York ended with her gear and records being stolen, she went on tour as a solo artist crossing the United States many times over, eventually landing in LA where she is currently recording a new album. She’s a model, an actress, and now Olaris artist, lending her voice to three transformative remixes of her emotional song “King of Solitude.” Super geek and production wizard Great Scott rocks a breakstep monster that shakes subs and blurs minds. Deep house star Artette rolls a super smooth joint that settles in like fog. Finally, Olaris head and techno nerd Royal Sapien drops a big time breaks moment that will have the most discerning ladies shaking their tailfeathers. Olaris is very proud to be working with Jillian. Beta was designed to be a kind of auditory trip in electronica without a thought for what might be commercial, radio friendly or other market driven motivations.

The Fallen – Jillian Ann
Is really my very first official record and is presented here as is. It is a collection of my earliest songs. I learned a lot making this record and much more since, but it was a fun even if a bit unorthodox, creative process. I paid to have this record done with the income from my modeling jobs. I would record for as long as I could and when the money ran out, I would model so I could afford to go back in the studio. The sound is inspired by electronica and tracks like” lost” have been used in various TV shows and films. I had to record this over a long period of time and the songs are about the many things that were happening to me over that span of time. It is a kind of auditory diary.

Soul In the MachineI make instrumental music, its my personal connection, its about a trip, a journey, this is some of the pieces I loved, they are imperfect, some the masters live on drives I haven’t been able to recover, most of it has somehow ended up on bit torrents and people ask me for it so here it is. This is not about pop songs, this is about a soul and a machine connecting worlds through wires. All of the money you give will help maybe someday put this out properly or fund the next venture of this type of work:). There are Piano Pieces and some ambient dubbed out pieces I make this all at home alone;) I made this all before I got a new machine, I made it on a old PC the first one I ever had;) its no longer with us, but this is;)

Punk Meditations – Jillian Ann
I made this after searching for music to take me places that was a bit deeper. I had planned on having it remixed and remastered but the masters on which it was created are both dead. After years of not releasing it because its lo-fi and raw I have found it out there pirated. So here it is, its raw, its unmastered, it was a experiment at some point I plan on doing another Punk Meditations Proper. Until then I made these to go on a trip to. I did all of the programming and mixing and wouldn’t consider it perfect but I like it anyways. So enjoy and next time I hope to make something like this mixed and mastered and remixed properly.
